Leroy Smith was born and raised in the rural area in Quincy, Florida. He received a football scholarship to Florida State University where he played up under the Legendary Bobby Bowden. While at FSU, Smith earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Science and a minor in Anthropology.
After college, he played professional football for 6 years. Teams:Chicago Bears, TampaBay Storm, Milwaukee Mustangs and Utah Blaze. He was an educator for 10 years where he won Rookie Teacher of the year in 2012. He also was Head Coach for 7 years and won the FACA coach of the year. He was honored by the Department of Education for having a major impact on the kids in the Big Bend Area. He is blessed to have three wonderful kids. Alondre Smith and Alondria Smith currently attend college and he also has a four-year-old son, Elian Smith. |
